In the Music Real E82, My guest today is Dr Christina Ballico who is the research fellow on the Project Making music work – the findings of which were released to the public this week. This research project conducted over 3-4 years was led by Queensland Conservatorium Research Centre, Griffith University, with industry partners, Australia Council for the Arts. Making Music Work mapped the creative, social, cultural, and economic realities of the portfolio music career through a study of over 600 Australian musicians. Christina talks about how the industry itself could possible best equip Live Music Artists for the future for this industry ecosystem.
